Financial Recovery
Closure Impact - $60,000.00 lost revenues
Glacier has now returned to full operations since the roof related facility closure. (Fall 2025 is our 1st full season back in action). Recovery from the significant financial impacts is well underway! Preliminary year end (Aug 2025) indicate operational losses of about $20K. BUT - the 2025/26 budget looks strong and with full classes and an expanded schedule we continue to build on our recovery efforts.

Who we are
Glacier Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit Society, run by a volunteer board of directors and managed by paid staff. The Sponsorship Program is administered by the staff. The Board remains active in seeking sponsors and building relationships with our community's businesses.
The Gymnastics Club was incorporated in February of 1995. The club moved to many different locations within Nelson until settling into its current location at the Civic Centre gymnasium in 2001.
We offer a full range of recreational programs, from Parent and Tot to Adult programs, all of which promote fun, fitness and fundamentals. Our competitive programs focus on the training and development of athletes who aspire to compete at local and provincial levels.
Annually we have 1000 participants in our gymnastics classes, and we are proud that our numbers reflect a very high percentage of young girls. Our membership is approximately 600 families annually.
It Takes a Community!
Not for profits, like Glacier Gymnastics Club rely on much more than the dedication of the few staff and parent volunteers to remain successful and vibrant. Our goal of Building Healthy Humans extends out to our entire community; where we wish to see everyone living their Healthiest Life Possible.
We seek to positively impact the lives of the children who participate in our programs, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop life skills through sport. We hope to improve all aspects of the community we exist within.
